We kicked this day off with heading to the St. Patrick's Day Parade downtown. Tara had never really seen a big parade or a balloon float, so she was definitely anxious.

There were tons of people and clovers as far as the eye could see. Brad was really excited because they had several Delorean cars, including the one from Back to the Future. Every boys dream!!!

We hung out at the parade for a while, and then headed to see the Chicago River, as it had been turned green that morning.
The plan was to go to an Irish Pub and hang out, maybe eat a little corned beef and cabbage (Yummy!), but every bar had a line wrapped around the building! Stacy was relieved, as she thought the sight of corned beef, not being much of a red meat fan anyway, would send her hurling! We walked about 6 blocks over to the infamous Portillo's, which is a huge hot dog/polish sausage/hamburger joint. VERY good! We even tried some of their green concoctions, which, uh, were not so yummy. At least they looked neat.

After a lot of walking and filling our bellies, Tara and Stacy decided to go back and rest up for our fun filled evening. Brad, Brianne, and I headed to an Irish Pub, Grace O' Malley's, which is only a few blocks from our condo. While there, we even got to see an Irish bagpipers up close, as they were performing in the restaurant, and walked through the bar directly in front of us. Pretty cool.
