International? Really?
So, we head back to the city, and stop and pick up dinner along the way, as well as THE most yummy frozen fruit drinks. We stayed up on Thursday night gabbing and catching up.
Friday morning, I headed off to work, while Brad planned to be the tour guide for the day. The agenda- shopping!!! Stacy decided to get her hair done at the salon I use, so they took the train up just blocks north of downtown so she could indulge in some pampering. Her hair looked so cute when she arrived, however, she was a sassier bright blonde when she was done. They then met me down on the infamous State Street where shopping is plentiful and we helped fill the bustling streets.
Once we got back and freshened up a bit, we headed to dinner @ Eleven City Diner. This is the cutest place, and has the most yummiest breakfast food!!! My coworker Gina met us there at the end of our meal, and we decided to catch a cab to head over to Lucky Strike for some bowling. Finally, we were able to get lucky hailing a mini van cab, so we wouldn't have to be sitting on top of each other. Sure enough, we slide the back door open, and the cabbie had removed the rear seat...so, Tara and Brianne braved it and sat in what looked like a big well in the back. Fun times in the city.
We get down to Lucky Strike, which is this super trendy bowling alley that pumps music and just has a great vibe. Brad and I had reserved the lanes over 2 months ago, so we really had been looking forward to this! We all are having a great time, but after not seeing the waitress for probably 30 minutes (we had only paid to bowl for an hour), we were getting a little irritated. We finally were able to order some drinks and some desserts, but unfortunately, luck was not on our side. They couldn't get anything right, and even cut our bowling off 20 minutes early. Of course, a manager was sought out immediately- I was so embarrassed, especially as I had been looking forward to this for weeks!!! We finished our game, and it still took the "waitress" 45 minutes to get our cards rung through. By this time, upon some urging, I approached another manager to inquire about a contact number for corporate, you know, to voice my concerns :)

The manager had me explain our grievances, and offered to comp all of our drinks/food, as well as gave us a card for a FUTURE date of free bowling. Yeah, that does a lot of good to people who had flown in from out of state and who will never want to come back bowling there again!!!
Oh well, we did still have a fun time bowling, and we ended the night going back to our place and hanging out for a few hours.
Lucky Strike definitely struck out!!!!
