So, this past Sunday, after we returned home from church and brunch with Kendrea (read prior post), we are driving up through our parking garage, and I just happen to glance over at the bike rack for our building. Whoa.
Where are our bikes??? I scream to Brad that our bikes were not there. He stops the car, but since we are on an incline, he goes ahead and parks the car. We both run over only to discover that yes, BOTH of our bikes have been stolen. Now, not that these were high dollar, cross country mountain trek bikes- but they were ours, and we loved them. I immediately burst into tears feeling so violated. This sucks.
We take the elevator up to our floor, and are discussing who we need to call to make a report, when we enter our apartment. Whoa, again. The smell of dog #2 pretty much smacks us in the face, and it is so not pleasant. Knowing that Bella is in her crate, we immediately think- Sadie. She was practically hiding behind the door as we came in, and was shaking like a leaf. She had diarrhea in several spots, and it looked as though she was going into every room she could in order to get away from it. Poor thing.
So the sting of being violated from theft was lessened as we tried to take care of Sadie. Still, they both stunk.

That really does stink! You'll be more than ready for a little one when the time comes...Sadie just wants you to be really prepared! I'm sorry about your bikes. What did they say when you reported it??
Not much at all! The police officer actually laughed at Brad when he told him what they were valued at. The guy kept telling Brad that HIS cost like $1500- WHO CARES? If you have something stolen, it shouldn't matter how much it is valued for on paper!!!!! Right? Needless to say, there is not much we can do being we don't have the serial numbers. I guess it's a good thing we won't need them for many months.
oh that sucks! i am so sorry!!!!! :( yes, and poop everywhere is just the icing on the cake. poor babies!
