Caden is a Rock Star already!!!

This past weekend, we made a trip to our 'Southern Home', Durham, NC, to visit MUCH missed best friends... which we consider our family. Our best friend, Marissa, threw us our first baby shower for little Caden, and it was such a fantastic time- everything just went perfectly!!! The weather was AMAZING, and seeing everyone we hold so dear to our hearts was just such a huge blessing for us- it was much needed, and made us really miss calling Durham our home.
It was a themed shower, with the tag line "Party Like a Rock Star BABY!" How perfect for us!!! Marissa had the cake made to replicate the design of the invitation, it was SUPER yummy and I ate way too much of it...


Our friends are the most thoughtful people in the world, and ALL of the gifts were just amazing... and so perfect for who Brad and I are!!! This first shot is of a diaper cake from Stacy, Brianne, and Tara!! What an awesome job!!!


Deena and her husband Paul brought their 3 1/2 month twin girls, Katelyn and Kendall- totally rocking the Guns N' Roses shirts!!! Paul took the cake with his hard core Metallica shirt, pocket chain, and big boots!!



Our friends Doug and Erin drove a few hours from Western NC to attend, which really made it all the more special, as we haven't seen them since we moved back in 2007.

Two of my fave gals, Brianne and Jen!!! Thanks for everything you did to help out with the party!!


It was so great to also spend time with Caden's future baby BFF's, Ben & Connor. I somehow missed getting any shots of Mr. Ben, but Connor hammed it up to compensate!!! What cuties they are, not to mention their hot mamas!! :)

By the end of evening, Connor had enough and crashed in Erin's arms. I love his adorable sleepy pose!!!


One of the best parts of the whole weekend was getting to spend quality time with the Ackermans- Marissa, Brian, Chase, Callie, and Corban. Usually our visits are so short and hectic, but it was so much fun to just be able to hang out with the kids and play!!! They have grown up so much- even since we last saw them at Christmas!!! We love them all very much!!!
