So many sights to see!

Friday was our day to hit the streets of Chicago and take in some sights! Even though the day started off very rainy, it cleared up to be a beautiful day, and just in time.

We caught the bus and took it a few blocks up to Millenium Park and Grant Park, which is on the southeast side of downtown.
These fountains feature recorded video-pictures that show the faces actually blinking, changing facial expressions, and then "spitting" the water.
















We then headed to the infamous "bean", which looks like a large silver mirror lima bean. It is super cool to look at, and the backdrop of downtown is so great!



The Ellen Show was filming the next day in Chicago, so we took advantage of checking out the setup.
We then headed over to Navy Pier to catch an Architectural River Cruise, which is probably THE greatest way to see the city and learn really interesting facts about the history of the Windy City. The first pic is of the Trump Tower/Hotel, which when completed, will be the 2nd tallest building in Chicago. The next pic is looking up at the Sears Tower from the boat. This is currently the tallest building in the United States. The last picture from the cruise is of a condo project built in the 70's, which are nicknamed the Corn Cob building. The first 10 floors are actually a spiral parking garage which is open, so you can see the cars parked along the edges. This was a famous scene in a movie years ago showing a car flying out of the garage into the Chicago River.
